Precious Metal Clay Jewelry Workshop

September 29, 30, and, if needed, Oct. 6, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.  Use PMC to create solid silver pieces of jewelry.  You will be amazed at the ease with which you create beautiful pendants and more.  The class is $60 plus the cost of your clay.  Call  423-612-9053 with any questions.  You must register and prepay by September 22 so I can order your clay!  *

*Cost of clay fluctuates with the market. Current price is $35 for 16 grams or $50 for 25 grams.

 Batik

5 classes meet Oct. 7, 13,14,20, and 21, from 6:30-8:30. This super-fun class lets you create beautiful works of art using wax and dye on fabric, even with no experience!  $130.00 includes all instruction and materials!

Watercolor

5 classes meet on October 1, 8, 10, 15, and 22, with the Thursday classes meeting from 6:30-8:30, and the Saturday class from 2:00-4:00. Explore techniques that will actually make watercolor behave itself for you!  $100 if you have all your own materials OR $125.00 includes all materials needed for the class!

Fun with Batik

This class  will be 5 Thursdays beginning April 30, from 6:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. If that one fills (I keep these classes really small)  I will open a second class that will be 5 Wednesdays beginning May 6 from 6:30-8:30. This exciting class will use wax and dye on cloth to create beautiful works of art.  Huge Fun!!! $130.00 includes all your materials…even your cloth!

UPDATED: Combined Beginning and Intermediate Slab

Description:  “Beginning projects and techniques will be introduced for those who never worked with clay before.  Additionally, more advanced possibilities will be presented for those who already have some experience with slab work or simply want a greater challenge.”

Here is the new schedule for the slab class:

  • March 12, 8:00pm – 10:00pm
  • March 19, 6:00pm – 8:00pm
  • March 26, 8:00pm – 10:00pm
  • April 2, 6:00pm – 8:00pm (final session for wet clay work)
  • April 9, SKIP WEEK (to give me time for all ware to dry and get bisque fired)
  • April 16, 8:00pm – 10:00pm (glazing only)

OIL AND ACRYLIC PAINTING (beginning February 5)

This class will allow you to choose to use either oils or acrylics
to learn opaque painting techniques in a relaxed and friendly environment.
We will meet 5 Thursday evenings, beginning February 5, from 6:30-8:30.
Cost is $100 if you have your own materials, or $125 if you’re not sure you are
ready to buy and would like to use mine.
